Nice home for Cavs: PLUSES:
Excellent sight lines for games.
Great atmosphere.
Plenty of food options.
Friendly/helpful staff.
MINUSES:
Seats can be cramped for big/tall people.
Pricey outing for a family or group (tickets, food, parking for a family can easily put your over $150-$200).
OVERALL:
A very nice facility with a good team to boot.
Great Experience, now gimme a winning team: Well on Feb 6th I attended Quicken Loans Arena to attend the Cavs vs. Bucks basketball game. Let me say first of all, the parking situation downtown is a joke. $15 to park in the gateway garage. Shame on City council and shame on the parking attendants for guaging the public like this.
With that said once inside it was a decent experience. I admit I miss the old Richfield Coliseum but since it became Quicken Loans Arena the improvements Dan Gilbert has made in the presentation and atmosphere have made a difference. Its fan friendly, and the people working there seem to be really enjoying what they do. If you goto a game I reccomend highly the North Coast Grill. Try the Cheeseburger. I defy you to find a better cheeseburger anywhere. Juicy, cooked to perfection, and the fries were just delicious. Northcoast Grill was located int he stand past Quaker State Lube(which I will try next time). The cheeseburger plater was 6.75. Not a bad value honestly.
However, I do wish the Cavs would play better on a consistant basis. Nothing would be finer than to see a Cleveland Championship.
