'm really not excited about writing a bad review.
But in this case I just can't avoid the unfortunate
situation.
Four of us walked in ate the same thing the kobe beef
burger and a drink just to sample what people have
been raving about.
I had a gut feeling when I bit into this thing that I was
going to regret ordering it.
Over cooked on the outside a little undercooked on the inside no spices of any kind not even salt or pepper.
Without going into the gory details I suffered through
2 of the worst days of my life along with my companions.
Again I don't know if the meat was cross
contaminated or just plain bad.
How this guy got national acclaim is one of the 8 wonders of the world.
Please be very careful if something doesn't seem right walk away quickly.
I live in California and have learned over the past few months that Cleveland really has some amazing restaurants. Lolita is definitely NOT one of them. This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had here, "iron chef" owner or not. There are much finer places to eat where the service is excellent such as Bodega in Cleveland Heights (incredible), L'Abatros in Shaker Square, or Sergio's - just to name a few. It's too bad when these so called "celebrity" chefs let their credentials go to their head.
Both of our pizzas were the worst examples of food we have ever experienced thus far in Cleveland and believe me that is really saying something. To top it off we both had some rather intense abdominal pain shortly after eating that slop ruining the rest of the date. I should've called the health inspector but why bother? If they keep poisoning their customers they will close on their own soon enough.
