I would not recommend Sunnyside Honda. The salesman didnât acknowledge me while I was looking at cars, I had to go into the show room and request that someone help me. It took an eternity, but finally JOHN RAMSEY was introduced to me.
He was the rudest sales consultant Iâve ever encountered, within any company. I wanted to negotiate a price for a new 2008 Honda Civic SI coupe, but he refused to discuss prices with me and insisted heâd sell the vehicle a few thousand over, the already much inflated, sticker price. He tried to convince me Honda wouldnât let them sell the vehicle under the sticker price, when I told him I planned on paying invoice.
John even tried to convince me not to purchase a vehicle, and told me to wait until the next years models were out. I was confused. I still am. Doesnât he work off of commission? My guess is⦠and this is just a guess, but⦠Iâm a girl, and Iâm 22. Iâm sure he assumed that I had little income and poor credit. Iâm sure he thought I had no interest in actually purchasing the car and was wasting his time. This is not the case. I qualified, on my own, for the 2.9% financing, with no money down⦠before I even went to try to buy the car.
Donât go to Sunnyside. Drive to Akron and go to MIKE PRUITT HONDA. They have a much larger inventory and very friendly, professional staff, who are willing to negotiate. They made purchasing a car a smooth process. The negotiations took no more than twenty minutes and I purchased my vehicle, at invoice price, from this store, and will definitely return for any future business!
These people are really unethical, even for car salespeople. The internet salesmanager, Marla Franklin told me that we could schedule my mother for a "no-pressure" test drive as she was seriously interested in a (outgoing model) 2007 Honda accord. I repeatedly made it clear that there was to be no sales pitch. She was purchasing the Honda for her neice as she always drives some type of Lexus. Anyhow, from the momment she walked into Sunnyside Honda in Middleburg Hts. Ohio, she was bombarded with the high pressure sales techniques of a sleazy scumbag used car salesman. I was planning on cutting a check from Phoenix Arizona depending on the test drive. However, unless she was willing to commit today or tomorrow she wasn't allowed to test drive the car. She walked away feeling mistreated with no test drive. If you are buying a Honda and would like to be treated like some dirtbag's commision check, then you should definitly try Sunnyside Honda.
