BEST RESTAURANT IN THE U.S.!!!!!!!!!! All the times I've been there, I've never been disapointed!!!!!! The food is EXCELLENT!!!!!!!! Especially the Irish Nachos and the Sheaperd's Pie. The Potato Skins and the Fish and Chips are to DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!! The place in general is spended, but the owners are the kindest people I've ever met!!!!!! Not only are they friendy and welcoming, but Shawn is from Ireland himself. I greatly recommend the Greenisland to anyone looking for a delisious home-cooked meal!!!
Always a great experience: We've been to the Greenisland several times & have never been disappointed. I prefer their fish & chips and shepherd's pie to Claddaugh's Irish Pub. The decor is nice, the atmosphere is generally pretty quiet & very comfortable. The owner is always friendly & it's great to support local business. They are always exceptionally nice to our toddlers. I would love to see a better appetizer list. However, the Irish Nachos are a hit with our crew.
Never A Bad Meal: I have had several meals at the Greenisland and think it is always a treat and a delight. The Fish and Chips are excellent (one night due to the place being crowded, I ate at the bar. A gentleman living in Euclid, but originally from Great Britain, said he was there for the Fish and Chips, as he said it was the best at the Greenisland than any other place in NE Ohio). The burgers are always good. the appetizers menu variety could be improved, but the Reuben is soooo good.
If you ever get a chance to speak to the owners ( and you will because they always make it a point to speak to all and check out how you are and how the meal and service are) it is ambience galore to hear them in their Irish brogue and feel the "Public House" aka Pub like atmosphere.
If you are in the area don't miss it, if you even have to travel a bit, the food and place is well worth it. Who knows you may become a regular or a semi-regular.
