Great food, great value, love the trains!: Tucked away in the small town of Clinton, OH you'll find the welcoming staff at Lucky's Top Cat Lounge. My first visit was on Tuesday, otherwise known as Burger Day. For a mere $1.50 you can get a burger that not only rivals some of the area's top "Burger Joints", but blows many of them out of the water. Nestled between the buttered Griddle toasted deluxe buns sat nearly 10oz of hand packed goodness. It was cooked to perfection - Medium! Now I'm a simple man, only asking for Cheese lettuce and Mayo. One of the new Owners, Cappy, quickly asked "Is that all you want on it? You can load it up and it will still only cost $1.50." "No thanks", I said. Now, I did witness a few burgers coming out of the kitchen that needed 8" skewers and a bib. And still, only cost $1.50. But i was more than happy with my simple Cheese lettuce and Mayo creation! I added a side of Fresh Cut French Fries that reminded me of my days growing up outside of Pittsburgh (Go Steelers!). I couldn't help but notice how close to the railroad tracks we were. It was a train enthusiasts dream. I asked if any vintage locomotives pass through. "Yes they do! Every now and again they use this line as part of their show tour. A number of the local Train Club Members flock out to see them!" I guess even a number of the engineers stop in for lunch if they are waiting on the tracks to clear ahead of them! I noticed a gentleman at the end of the bar holding a beer that I hadn't scene in an establishment for a long time. A Little Kings Cream Ale. We'll of course I had to order one for its 7oz of smooth and satisfying flavor. That was about it for my first visit. Lunch for less than a 5 spot! Can't beat it! I hear that some of the live entertainment later in the evenings is great. A local one-man show known simply at JT controls the stage 3 nights of the week! There are also Wing and Beer specials on game day during the NFL season! Now I'm not "right down the road" but they open at 6am for breakfast and the grill is open late. They are very accommodating there, they have the "Ask and ye shall receive" mentality, which is tough to find anymore. They new patio should be opened for early Fall. Perfect for clam bakes and cornhole tournaments! All and all I was very satisfied with my visit to Luckys Top Cat. I'll be heading there very soon!
