I usually don't write reviews, but I stumbled upon the review of the "Unsatisfied Customer" and I had to write a rebuttal. I too have been patronizing this cleaner for over 5 years now. I have never had a bad experience from them ever. Their prices are very competitive and their attitudes and service are even better. They have made concessions for my family and I when emergencies arouse. I am not a pet owner nor do I have anything against them. If I was though, I would expect to pay an addition charge to have pet hair removed from my clothing. Mr. Unsatisfied did have a valid point that maybe this charge should have been established during drop off. I canât see how explaining that point in non-combative or non confrontational manner would not have gotten that charge reversed. Weâve all heard the expression, âthe customer is always right!â Anyone who works for any type of business knows that statement to be false!! Customers too often are rude, demanding and unreasonable. I would hate to see this great neighborhood establishment lose one customer because one custom thought he should be exempt from paying for extra service. There is no other cleaner in our neighborhood that matches their prices or service. Good luck in your attempt to find one.
Don't take your clothes here if you have animals!!!!! I have getting my dry cleaning done with these people for years. Today, I go to pick up my shirts, and the man told me that they are charging me an extra 5.00 for cat hair being on my shirt. There was hardly any cat hair on my shirt, and besides that, the woman who accepted the shirts didn't mention the upcharge when they took the shirts. Good business practice would have been to mention to me that they do not accept clothes with any cat hair on them, and charge me the original quoted price.
I politely argued with the man that I should not be charged 5.00 AFTER the fact and informed him that if he charged me the extra 5.00, he would lose a customer. He continued to WHINE about the cat hair like I was his mother. Obviously this business doesn't appreciate its customers, or have any business acumen. Just this review alone will cost them WAY more than 5.00 in lost business. Not to mention that I am a professor at the local university in the business school and teach 5 or 6 classes each year with 200 people in them. This will make an excellent specific example to teach the class what customer lifetime value means.
Amazing prices!! Amazing service!! Amazing work!! Very nice and friendly people! I'd recommed them to anyone :)

I used to work at a dry cleaners (in another state) and extra care is required to remove animal hair from the garment. Extra care = extra $$$! Not to mention that hair from YOUR garments will probably end up on everyone else's that was in that particular load. If they do a separate load just for YOU then that would also justify the extra charge. Yes, they should have mentioned the charge to begin with, but going along with the above reviewer, I know too well the sort of customers that dry cleaning establishment attract. Anytime there's even the slightest problem, it is an excuse for a confrontation made by the customer. Expensive clothes need extra care and those that can afford many expensive clothes often feel some sort of entitlement. And they make claims that they alone can run a business into the ground. Ha!
I agree with Unhappy Customer that he should not be charged surprise fees in order to ransom his clothing, and that it was poor customer service (in that instance, with that particular employee). I also agree with SarahBug that some clothes require extra care, and that IF THE DRYCLEANER INDICATED THAT ("Some clothing may require extra care, and an additional charge may be required to clean such clothes") on signage or paperwork, then they were entitled to up-charge the guy (even if they didn't specify pet hair)... BUT IN ANY CASE I really don't care how much they charge for cat hair, what I'd like to know is if anyone has had them tailor/alter anything, and if they did, how that went! Thanks!
