The best around! My parents come from 45 minutes away for Kribie's beef! No comparison! They will do anything you need to the meat you choose from grind it to vacuum packing it in marinade! You always feel welcome and like part of a big, extended family. And to those who say it's overpriced. Look into where your meat is coming from when you buy from the "big box" grocers. It will make you whistle a different tune! Kirbie's is by far the best! Store is always clean, and NEVER smells like the meat counter does at our Giant Eagle...

I LOVE Kirby's. Many things.... I love the fact that I get high quality meats, and grass fed beef and chicken. Yes, you pay top dollar, but at least you aren't eating a bunch of antibiotics and corn fed beef. Watch the movie, available as a download on Netflix or in the mail - of KING CORN - if you have ANY questions about this. I just watched it, and it confirms my devotion to Kirby's. And yes, I love the small shop, and can buzz in and out for my meats. They are so friendly, and will even help carry out your packages. But if money is your main deal, the indeed buy your meats at Sam's or Giant Eagle. But you can't beat the taste and nutritional quality of Kreigers. Unfortunate about the pie experience - unfortunately, that can happen anywhere. I hope they have read your review and have done something to correct it.

My mom bought an overpriced pie at Kirbie's and it had a piece of plastic in it and a long black hair!! This isn't the first time we have had a problem with Kirbie's food. I know that this can happen to anyone, especially when you are dealing with hand made dishes, but when you pay OVER FIFTEEN DOLLARS for a pie it should be superb. She likes to shop at Kirbie's because it has the old authentic "corner store" feel to it (I agree) but we have always squabbled over their high prices. Now that she has experienced such imperfections with their food on multiple occasions, she won't be shopping at Kirbie's anymore. Be aware when shopping at Kirbie's that you are getting the old "corner store" home cooking type of food that may have hairs and other objects in it along with the old "corner store" feel(and HIGH prices).
