Please do not consider this facility for care for your family. My mother was placed in this facility for rehabilitation after surgery by her doctor, who stated she was to have rehab excercises twice per day. The staff are incompetent, rude, and lack the skills necessary to care properly for their clientele. She had excercise rehab once for 1/2 an hour and spent the rest of her day sitting in her bed (all beds have alarms so patients cannot get up). If she or her roommate needed to go to the bathroom, it took staff over 20 minutes to respond to the calls. A man calling for help continuously was looked at as a nuisance and was closed in his room with an aide. About 15 minutes later, the door was opened and the man was asleep in his bed, probably drugged by the aide. My mother's oxygen tank had ran out of oxygen and the nurse said "Oh, I know why you can't breathe, you don't have oxygen!" only to say later that she didn't say that. My mother was not getting the proper medication and when my mother inquired about her meds, she was told that she did, in fact, get her meds as it was written on her chart. My mother does not suffer from dementia, she has a sharp mind and she said they treat her like she is crazy there. The residents here are just waiting to die- and I cannot believe how awful this place is. Try looking for an aide - you will find them all outside on their smoke break. I, personally, have witnessed aides yelling at residents and treating them inhumanely. When the nurse (an actual RN) was asked when the last time my mother's vitals were checked, she could not answer the question. My mom's vitals were checked for the first time today at 5pm, and her blood pressure registered at 219/98. This was not a concern with staff at all, the response was "I cannot diagnose what is wrong with your mother as I am not a doctor". Currently, my mother is on her way to the emergency room, per her doctor's orders. This facility does not know what proper care is and is so far from a decent place for your family. I will persue investigations into this facility as I wouldn't put my worst enemy in this place. Please write a review of this place if you have one as more people need to be aware that this is just a place to wait to die.
