About:Luigi's Restaurant is an Akron staple, offering pizza and other Italian favourites. The decor is warm and inviting in family-restaurant style. One of Luigi's most notable features is that it's open to 2a every night and 4a on weekends, so it's perfect for ending a night out. The food features a range of Italian soups, salads, entrees and pizzas. Pizzas include Italian classics, like white pizza or simple pepperroni-and-mushroom fare, while salads come loaded with cheese.     I visited this place for the first time back in April of this year and I have to say it is the BEST pizza I have ever ate! I'm from Missouri and I can't wait to go back to Akron for some pizza from luigis!!!

    I've been to Luigi's a number of times, and have never failed to be less than impressed. I honestly don't know what the big deal about this place is.

    The wait staff is mediocre on their best day, and surly on their worst. The last time I was tehre, I had a complaint and the manager was rude and insulting. I swore I would never go back there, and so far so good.

    The kitchen is slow at all hours of the day. I've never waited less than half an hour for a pizza, and then it was either undercooked or burnt. The pasta dishes are average at best.

    All this, and the prices are about the most expensive I've seen in the Akron area.

    If you want good pizza late at night in Akron, go the extra mile or so to Emidio's, which is much tastier, cheaper, quicker and friendlier. You can duplicate Luigi's atmosphere by taping pictures of "celebrities" you've never heard of on your car windows and playing a Sinatra CD on your car stereo.

    And, if you want a good pizza during the day, for dine-in, go to Fiesta in the Valley. They area little less expensive than Luigi's, but the pizza is light-years beyond anything Luigi's puts on the table.

    Luigi's is the best pizza in Akron by far!
    The other greats are :Rocco's and Fiesta
