We believe in following the path of Jesus, who welcomed people of diverse beliefs, backgrounds and ways of life, to follow the path of love. Families from the Richfield Community have gathered here for nearly two centuries. Our worship style is traditional - we were the Pilgrims on the Mayflower in 1620 and Richfield UCC was established in 1818. But our spirituality is quite progressive - the UCC was the first denomination to ordain an African American (1785), the first woman pastor (1853) and the first gay minister who was honest about his orientation (1972). We encourage unity in diversity and promote justice and compassion. No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here. Less
