Diamond Deli

The first time I experienced Diamond Deli was back in the early 80's working for my father. My mother, sister and I went there to get my father and us something for lunch. I fell in love with the place from the moment we walked in, listening to the stories about how the sandwiches got their names. Those sandwiches were and STILL are the best. And the home made soups made you feel so good, no other soups came even close. The family that runs the deli made you feel like one of their own. I hope the Diamond Deli stays around for years to come, I don't know what I'd do without it.

I ate at the Diamond Deli in 2006 while my family and I were home on leave. We are currently stationed in Japan. Ever since, we have promoted their fantastic sandwiches and welcoming atmosphere. When you visit, be sure to find out the entertaining stories behind the naming of the sandwiches. I look forward to my next visit with gastronomic anticipation

The diamond Deli is probably my favorite place to have lunch in Akron. Their deli sandwiches are the best I have ever had. I have been deployed for over a year and I think it is one of the places I miss most. If you have never been there be sure to check it out!! And tell them Josh will be home soon, so they may want to stock up on supplies!
