Great food, great price, EOS. (end of story)
P.S. and if your a yuppie then maybe you might be slighted by the appearance of staff and shop, but if your normal it's all good there!
Best Chinese in Akron. Yes, it is gross, and I have seen some pretty crazy things go on in there, but the food is actually top quality. In college, it was a hobby of my fraternity brothers and I to try out all and any chinese restuarants we could find. Yet nothing could beat my home town favorie. Here are some reasons why it is the best that any frequent chinese take out diner would appreciate:
1) The General Tso's tastes like it should. Plenty of other places will either have the flavor as too orangy, the sauce too thin, or cut some other corner that diminishes or screws up the taste.
2) Quality Pork Fried Rice. This is the best measure of chinese food quality. Some restaurants have their pork fried rice barely fried and with only a flakes of pork. A Wok's rice is a rich yellow, filled with spices and large pieces of pork. It's a meal in itself!
3) Fast and Convient. They are always fast, taking less than 5 minutes, even in the busiest of lunch rushes. They also don't mind if you place an order and run off to do something else while it cooks. I often place orders, drive off, run an errand, come back, and they hand me my food with a smile. What a great restaurant!
So there you have it. Yes, I will not deny any of upsetting truths behind this Montrose urban legend, but one cannot deny a good meal, at a great price, that tastes fantastic. It also has a funny name. A WOOOOOK! I scream it out sometimes, right to their face. When my feet hit the floor every morning, I yawn, strech, clap my hands and scream, "A WOK!" often frightening my wife. She says, "Eatting that chinese food 8 times a week can't be healthy." LIES! It is a feast fit for kings, and I gladly stuff my coat pockets with those sweet egg rolls so that I may carry the perfume of my beloved eatery wherever I may go.
The best Chinese around NE Ohio. Anything you order is good. Great flavor on everything and amazing prices. I've eaten in Chinatown in NYC and I still would prefer A-Wok!
