It was my grand daughters first Birthday yesterday (Dec. 02, 2007). The theme was Disney Princess. We had ordered a cake from some place other than Giant Eagle. We were shocked at how bad it was when it was picked up by a friend @12:00PM. We got the cake @1:00. The princess looked like she had been punched in the face. I mean, it was just terrible.
The party was at 4PM, but the place we originally got cake from closed at 12:30.
I called Niles Giant Eagle and the lady in the Bakery Department, I believe her name was Cindy, Was AWESOME!
I explained to her my dilemma and she whipped together a cake and had it ready in No time flat. Everyone commented on how great the cake looked and tasted.
I took a picture of it and put it with the other cake we will be returning tomorrow, with a note saying, âThis is how a childâs First Birthday Cake should look.â
Kudos to Giant Eagle and Cindy for saving my Grand Daughters first Birthday. Also Thank You for the free "smash cake" they gave us for her as well. She had a blast!

Every thing about the store is fine. It is clean, the food is great,the people that work at the counter are good and know what they are doing. The only bad thing about the store is " THEIR PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!" And that is the reason I will never shop there unless it is an emergency I need something. I am talking about the store on Elm Rd. in Warren Ohio 44483. Thank you for your time.
