Refused me me service: I am trying to send a birthday cake to my VERY BEST girlfriend who just moved away in the last few days. I was *SO EXCITED* to find this 5-star listing for Michael's in her city and how pleasant they are to do business with, hoping to begin a yearly tradition. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. Since I can only pay by money order (we do not own credit cards), Michael's refused to do business with me~and I did have ample time to get it to them before the date of desired service (nine business days after putting it into the mail today). The tone of voice I was met with was anything but pleasant!

This makes me more than sad~America was built on the backs of people just trying to make it. I don't see how recieving a money order and then rendering service is an unreasonable request! However, even the Bible says (in Proverbs) that the poor will be hated and despised. I hope and pray that in the future Michael's will handle even difficult, unusual, or poor patrons with gracious kindness.

This story does have a happy ending~I found West Side Bakery, *FORTY-FIVE* minutes away from my beloved friend~to be thrilled to do business with me and my money order! YAY!

Now this is a bakery!: I love their muffins,unique flavors, Lemon Walnut, Cherry Cream, Peaches and Cream to name a few, Donuts, all kinds, they have the best Glazed, you'll get anywhere!And Mike& Cathy & their staff are great.Also They have the best Coffee, trust me on this, at .60, for a mug, and refill for.30, it's abargain, and they have Latte, and Cappicuinos too, for those of you who have to have the like. The hours are early, from around 5am to to around noon, Mon.- Sat. Closed Sun.So com'on in for coffee& ab=nd a sweet treat! You'll be back, for sure
