A lovely atmosphere, excellent service, and great food. What more can you ask for?
My wife and I try to make it here once a month for something special.
I've had a couple misses, to be honest. But I've also been surprised and delighted by the offerings. The soups are always exceptional. For entrees, I especially like the crepes and the risotto. Great wine list.
Just about the only fine dinning spot in Wooster, the menu is focused on quality and innovative presentation of continental cuisine. An extensive and moderately priced wine list is available. Bar service is also on hand. I always make a reservation as the Light Opera at the College often fills the small but charming room. If you enjoy wine tastings, theirs are outstanding and with a reasonable price tag. Don't expect fast food, this is a location for leisure dinning and relaxation.
We drive from Cleveland, on a regular basis for the fine food. We go to the afternoon show, so the evening is open for a stop at one of our favorite restuarants.
Another "highly rated" restaurant that benefits from its location. In a city that is devoid of good independent restaurants but populated by average, at best, chains.
Have eaten here twice. After the first meal, I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
My first "adventure" resulted in an over salted steak dish and a goat cheese tort that lacked only one thing...taste, even subtle taste.
My second experience was better.
In both cases, the price of the meal exceeded its quality.
The wine list is the best in town.
I can only believe the raves this place gets is from people who have OD-ed on the fare served by Wooster's wide selection of chain restaurants.
This is not a great restaurant. This is good restaurant in town with many truly awful restaurants.
