Rocky's Pub & Grill

Went to Rocky's Pub on Saturday, October 31, 2009 and what a treat. We were personally greeted by the owner, Rick. We were shown a booth that he had marked from our reservation. He remembered the conversation I had with him on the phone and made mention of some of the conversation such as where we traveled from. My husband got a steak which he enjoyed throughly and loved the smashed potatoes. I got the chicken marsala which had the most unusual mushrooms I have ever had but they were delicious. The oil that comes with the bread is different than any I have ever had. I had the mussel appetizer and since I have an allergy to parmesan cheese, the chef did something a little different for me which I appreciated. Most places it is take it or leave it. Their ice tea was unique as I was told they brew it by hand. My husband took a piece of apple pie (his favorite) home and enjoyed every crumb. We drove 96 miles each way to get to Rocky's and would do it again. We highly recommend Rocky's. It is well worth the money. And the "Southern Ohio" hospitality was great. Rick knew how to make you feel welcome and made every patron feel special.

I envy the people who live in Mansfield - they can go to this WONDERFUL establishment anytime they want to. My sister and brother-in-law treated us to an outstanding dining experience on our recent visit from Texas. The atmosphere, food and, most of all, Rick and his great team added up to a great evening. Great intimate little restaurant. Very hospitable owner, whose wife is the chef. Very nice menu, with interesting and varying specials. The wait staff is friendly, attractive, attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating. All in all, a quite pleasant dining experience.
