The only reason I have continued to spend my money here is because they have excellent espresso. Unfortunately they aren't quite with it behind the counter. I have not had pleasant service in about four years. A few ladies that work there need their heads examined. Here's a tip... If you can't stand the wait , call your order in ahead of time.

I do not know who exactly you are talking about but I spend my money there and have great service every time I am in the pelican. Maybe the problem is not the workers behind the counter but the person ordering. Also if there is a wait then that is a good thing that means the pelican is not going anywhere.
What I can't understand is that if they want you to shop Bucyrus First, there hardly ever open. And what place isn't open on Sunday, the lake traffic would be great. Most of these stores aren't even open during the Christmas parade that they have in December. C'mon Bucyrus, it's not bankers hours anymore, if you want to do a decent business,be OPEN!!!!

Well seeing how bankers hours are 8-4:30 Monday-Thursday and 9-5:30 on friday and Sat is 8-12 and the pelican is open until 6 monday-friday and open until 4 on saturday then you are right its not bankers hours. They are not open during the christmas parade because of theft so you can blame that on people that cannot keep their hands off things. As for sundays how often would you be there?
I prefer the original owners to the current one. We used to be able to order special blends & specific beans. That seems to have been lost in the shuffle. You would think that when someone is willing to spend $50 a pound for coffee, they would be interested in getting it for you. Guess that happens when a business changes hands.
