I have friends who used to work there. The owner is corrupted as well as the store. The owner has connections with every "big" vital person in the city, so he can get away with everything. Not to mention very stingy for a multi-millionaire. The service can be a bad experience. I've had friends come there, and got yelled out by security because of taking a couple extra grocery bags for their kids to put their things in! Be careful not to take too many food samples...they don't like that either. One of my friends that used to work there was told by the owner's wife to fit 4 gallons of milk in one bag to save money on the bags! This store follows one of those sayings"DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER". I will NEVER spend another penny in that store, plus the food is expensive. Very RARE do you find something actually cheap on sale. Their return policies are ridiculous too!

BTW...notice if you buy wine in bulk they don't let you keep the wooden boxes it goes in because they are stingy!

Moving here from Southern California was tough, mostly because I could not find the international foods or organic, vegetarian, unprocessed foods that I could in Cali. Thank God for Jungle Jim's! I drive there once a week which takes me 45 minutes and it so worth every mile!

There is nothing you can't find here, and you are sure to find to surprises around every corner!

    LOVE THIS PLACE!

Thanks Cali Chick! I'm from Laguna and I so miss my Traders Joe's and Mother's Market. Jungle Jim's is great and definitely worth the drive.
