for the price you pay, this place is great. i love the princess chicken! person who read the reviews and decided to go upon reviews you should understand everyones taste is different. I like this place a lot for its diversity but i also understand its not like most of the chinese places around town. I think what you were looking for was a real dine-in experience. for that you should have tried china club just a bit down the road from empress express. this is a formal chinese resturant and i think it would meet your preference. but as for empress express yummmmm!

My husband and I read these reviews and decided to try this out..It by far was the worse food...atmosphere was terrible..and DID NOT enjoy the cafateria style dining. The staff was non compremising...would not trade items that we did not like that came with our meal.. The Cashew Chicken had hardley no chicken..but alot of vegetables...My husband had the Sweet and Sour Chicken...with Chicken niblet bites..This by far was the worse experience in Chinese Food..and I would NOT RECCOMEND EATING AT THE EMPRESS EXPRESS.

I absolutely love this place. I now live in Tasmania Australia and this is the one place I really wish we had here. The staff are friendly as can be and the food is mouthwatering! The szechuan chicken is to die for and you have to love the crab dumplings. I'd like to say wonderful job to the owners and I hope to visit home soon so I can eat there.
