User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWhere's my 5th Wheel?: Back in the day, okay 35 years ago, this little drive-up was a regular stop after little league baseball games. Soft serve ice cream & chili dogs were the mainstay. A few years later, they introduced what was then the biggest hamburger I had ever seen. The "5th Wheel", it was called & it was about as big as a spare tire! Lavished with every condiment known to mankind, it was a growing boys dream of a hamburger. Recent visits do not invoke the same sort of sentimental feelings that once abounded in my childlike brain, but the food & the sweets are still above average, as far as the "Whippy Dips" of the area go.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSoft Serve with a Smile: This icon of Loveland has been around forever and serves soft ice cream. It seems to get by more on reputation than actually serving a great quality product.
If you have ever enjoyed frozen custard, then this place will leave you wanting. I think it is a bit on the pricey side too.
The real joy in this place is in bringing the kids and having them sit outside gobbling up the cone before it dribbles down their hands.
