my name is nancy daman and I am the mother of Kurt Daman a member of the VFW and not sure how to get this notice to the right people to alert members of his organization as well as the public to how our soldiers are being victimized while away in harms way

My son E4 specialist Kurt F Daman is being deployed to IRAQ for his second tour, member of B Troop 2nd squadron, 107th Cavalry, Lebanon, OHIO (Army National Guard) attached to the 155th Brigade Combat Team to run security on conveys in Hum-vee as a gunner, he also served previously in Kosovo in a combat role.

He is a strong patriot in the course of freedom for all of us here in the states, and I am so proud of him as well as of all sons and daughters serving in the military.

Why I writing this as his mother, my name is Nancy Daman, a 64 year old handicapped mother residing at 2689 Audubon Dr Apt D, Middletown OH, 45044…Kurt has had to leave his job at Mobilcom on three (3) separate occasions to serve in harms way, receiving a combat decoration as well as other awards for his role attached to special forces unit in the Guard in IRAQ, I worried of his health as a caring mother would. For his safe return, now he is to serve in harms way again.

What I am writing about is that while Kurt has few personal possessions here at home, he had a car, a 1995 Lincoln which was left for me for safekeeping at our residence in Middletown, on the evening of Monday the 15th of June, 2009 after midnight his car was stolen from the parking spot in front of our apartment by unknown immoral individuals. Now I wonder how many other veterans as well as my son are being victimized while they are away defending freedom.

I don’t want to further stress him in his role and duty by telling him of the theft of his car, but, I think at the least the public must be aware of these attacks on our soldiers property while they are in harms way, I would like to see a write up in the paper to alert the public of these actions by immoral persons prying on our troops while away from home.
