Tainted Expressions

I went into Tainted expressions in wilmington to get my 11th tattoo. A the owner (fran) was very unfreiendly, after giving me a bunch of excuses on why all of the tattoos wouldn't work right ( i think she just didn't want to do them) I settled on a very simple peice. From then it just got worst. I choose 2 Kanji symbols, plain black, about an inch and a half tall. I was charged 160 to get both, which i felt was outrageous. Once i paid, she then told me it would take a few minuets to draw it up. no problem. But after she drew up my tattoo, she said she wanted to smoke before we started and asked if i needed to too. I went with her to a back room where i was surprised to see that she lived in her shop with another person, they smoke INSIDE the tattoo shop, DURING bussiness hours, and when we opened the door, a yappy mutt (looked like a chiwawa) ran out into the shop (in the area i was to get tattooed in, and then peed on the floor. The owner (fran) then yelled at the dog, and then yelled at an employee to clean up the mess, which was only done with a paper towel. She somked her cigerette, and then, a full 35 min after i had done my paperwork, we finally sat down to do the tattoo. As a person that has had tattoos before, i know about how long they are going to take. I figured, 2 little kanji symbols in all black would be quick. The tattoo took a full hour and fifteen minuets to do, and she took 2 smoke breaks during, never once did i see her wash her hands. After the tattoo was done, I listeened to her instruction, and did as she said, washing it 3-4 times a day and putting a light layer of A&D as i've done with all of my previous tattoos. This tattoo however, was more over worked than i have ever seen. The tattoo hurt for at least 2 and a half weeks, which has never been that case with my other tattoos. While it was healing, i was there were massive holes in that tattoo where it had definatly been over worked and now the tattoo is scarred, raised, and has more light spots than black. I've been to multiple shops, all of who can't belive i got this at a shop, not to metion by the owner. I finally found a shop to fix it, and in 15 min they fixed it and only charged me 50$. I'm a very uinhappy customer, i believe tainted expressions should be shut down and i would not be surprised if they were spreading MERSA. I do not recomend going to Tainted expressions for anything.

Inspired tattoo artist and what I've seen from the shop is good. Customer friendly and good inviroment for those who love getting inked and have a sense of humor. If you are going to get a tattoo in Wilmington this is the place to go.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon to get my tongue pierced, something I wanted to do for 13 years. I was very nervous and Rooster was so helpful and calming. He talked me through the process and put my mind right at ease. He took plenty of time to talk with me while I decided where and what I wanted.

I would (and have already) reccomend them to others.
