Well I see the people who used to eat at Magees at McDonalds whats that tell ya. The atmosphere isn't for the townspeople anymore its the ones who "run" the town or have "old money" or the correct "name". It's a shame to the "Magee"name. And you should tip very good if you like it so much because the employees don't get paid what they deserve.
Went to Magee's yesterday for breakfast. The place is right out of the 50's with two counters, one in a horseshoe shape, and booths. Lots of interesting pictures etc. on the wall. You can spot the place by the EAT neon sign. The food was very good and came in a normal wait time for a Saturday morning. We had French Toast made with homemade bread. Very good. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed the music playing. Will be back again for lunch.
Talk about undescibably disappointed. I was in Magees today for the first time in awhile. I had a dried up hamburger and my wife had the worst fishtail ever. (They used to be our favorites) I can remember a time when a salad used to be lettuce. Changing from lettuce to feild clippings is a good thing gone bad. I would have never thought I would say this but I would have almost rather went to frisches. I will surely spread the word to not even waste your money at Magees anymore. Why change a good thing? It never works.

Why change a good thing? What good thing? Magee's had been in a downward spiral for 10 years with the previous two owners. I had not been in Magee's for several years but have been in many times since the new owners took over. The place is busy again, the food is good, the staff friendly, and place has been cleaned up. As for the salad, it's nice to see something that wasn't poured out of a bag. I'd say go back and give it another try.
