User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsAverage. I went there based on the reviews I have read here. I am not an expert on Indian food, but I have been to enough around the country. I would like to find 1 very good Indian restaurant in Cincinnati.

I have eaten at Indian Restaurants around the world. My favorite Indian restaurants are in Singapore but Ambar is every bit as good. Their Lamb Vindaloo is the best I have ever had. It is creamy, tangy, and leaves a pleasant after taste long after the meal is over. Their other menu items are good as well but it is Vindaloo that I use as my baseline to rate Indian Restaurants and their Vindaloo is 5 star.

The service at this place is amazing! Another customer dumped an entire glass of water into my chicken curry, thereby ruining it, and just walked away. The servers at Ambar not only moved us to a new table, they replaced all our food--even the food that wasn't affected! The restaurant was super busy at the time, but they went above and beyond to remedy a situation that wasn't even their fault.
