| About: | Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare. Due to limited availability of this item, we suggest you reserve your order when making your reservation. |

I'd rather go to ruby's. The excellent service will match the excellent meal there. Not so at Morton's. I will never go back, they have too much competition downtown to not deliver top notch service.
There are a number of places in Cincy to get a good steak but I just don't think you can beat Mortons. The service is always top-notch and the food is just great. I've eaten here maybe 15 times in the past few years and can't say enough how consistently good the experience is. I recently went to their new location (a Morton's with windows??!!?? ) and was pleased to see that it looks great and the food and service were as good as they had ever been. The steaks are obviously the reason you go there but you might try the baked shrimp apetizer (they are HUGE) and the lobster bisque is outstanding as well.
I have enjoyed Morton's in the past when I was living on the East Coast and I knew the local restaurant would live up to its already amazing reputation. I could not believe how good and "unique" their serivce is. I do not think our waiter missed a beat. And if he did, the General manager was there to help out and make our experience even better. The NY Strip is unmatched, the lyonnaise potatoes are a must have and the godiva cake to top off the night really made it memorable experience. What made it more amazing is when the Management staff knew we were new to the area, they brought over a tray with cordials and offered them to us with their compliments. First class food and people at Mortons and the quality and service is unparallelled regards of the locale I visit

awww... what happened? somebody forget to bring your butter real quick? To make a post like this without explaining it seems suspect. I'vve eaten at all of Ruby's places and at Mortons - Morton's service is easily as good and usually better IMHO. Also, it is just classier. Now, the steaks are arguable - very very good but Ruby's steaks can be outstanding.....
The service just wasn't great. What more do you want? Do you really need me to explain how our waitress screwed up over the course of the evening? Like I said before, there is way too much competition downtown (with more to come) for Mortons to let anyone walk away disappointed. The bad service is forgivable perhaps at tgifridays. Also,I really don't think jeff ruby has ever been accused of being classy. He does seem to know what he's doing though and always has a top-notch staff. Service is always great. That is what seperates places like this apart. It's not just the food but also the service. Otherwise we'd all just go to El Coyote. Not that the service is bad there, but it is simply the food that is the draw. fI someone were to ask me where to go for a great time downtown ( and I think that this is what this is all about) I would never recommend mortons.
