| About: | When our first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, NC back in 1973, a fledgling Golden Corral Corporation took a confident first step into the restaurant business. From day one, we established the tradition of friendly service, great value and fresh, tasty food. Golden Corral family-style restaurants specialize in the biggest and best buffet available anywhere. Our famous Golden Choice Buffet contains an array of hot meat options, as well as pasta, pizza, fresh vegetable choices, and a selection of carved meats at dinner and on Sundays. We offer tempting baked goods from The Brass Bell Bakery, our famous in-house bakery. Piping hot yeast rolls, muffins, yummy cookies and brownies are baked fresh every fifteen minutes! And talk about a difference! Check out our Steak menu. All our steaks are USDA inspected and are grilled to order. They're always cut fresh daily, for better flavor, juiciness and doneness. Plus we offer a variety of delicious chicken and seafood entrees. At Golden Corral restaurants, our goal of pleasing each and every guest is made possible through the dedicated efforts of our caring and knowledgeable Co-workers. Since the beginning, they have been preparing and serving the highest quality food at reasonable prices in a clean, friendly atmosphere... thereby fulfilling the Golden Corral pledge: "Making Pleasurable Dining Affordable" |

The best thing about this chain of restaurants, and the reason there will always be a soft spot in my heart for them, is there committment each year to give any veteran a free meal on a specific Monday in October close to Veteran's Day. I've never heard of any other restaurant doing anything even close to this as far as community outreach and support.
As far as the food quality, value, and menu are concerned, I have to say that for the price, it's an excellent value. I've only eaten at dinner. The salad selection is extensive. They always have steak, beef, chicken and fish choices with a myriad of side dishes and breads to choose from. The quality of the desserts offered is disappointing, but appropriate value for the price(what I spend on the whole meal would buy me 1 1/2 to 2 desserts in a lot of other restaurants). Among my favorites are the sirloin steak and pot roast. The rotissorie chicken is as good as I've had anywhere. They also feature pasta selections and a taco bar.
A previous comment was made as to the class of patrons. When going to an economically priced buffet, I expect to eat with a cross section of the community, similar to a fast food restaurant or Wal-Mart. I've never seen the kinds of specific behaviors commented on. It's a little noisy, but again that's to be expected. I always look forward to eating there because of the variety. I've never been dissappointed.
low class: the food was ok but the class of patrions left much to be desierd ,steeling tips from tabels ,walking around with pants down cose to there knees, calling each other the n word .what a shame ! .ive been told by others they had a simular experiance.
