I normally have a great experience here, but I ate dinner on the evening of Aug 5 and there were bugs crawling in my food. They appeared to be small fruit flies or gnats. The concern is that their kitchen must be crawling with these things in order for my food to become contaminated. The manager was advised and although he did not charge me for my food, would you believe he had the nerve to still charge me for my drinks????!!!!!! If I were the manager, I would have at least apologized, advised the customer that there was no charge, AND I would have even offered a gift certificate or some other gesture to encourage the patron to give the restaurant another chance. VERY VERY DISGUSTING and disappointing!!! Picture included!
Great food, great service. I typically get carry out, but the place is fantastic if you eat in. The prices are up there, but in a good restaraunt they usually are. This one is worth it.
The service is hit or miss because of the high volume of customers that frequent the place.
It's a huge menu ranging from Thai food to Japanese dishes to sushi - two lists of appetizers. Some of my favorites are the Seafood Claypot and the Duck Basil. Sushi wise - the Surprise roll and the Dayton roll are to kill for.
I am also a top shelf drinker and they have a good selection of alcohol. Recently the bar as been swithching up draft beers (one at a time) that seem to be pretty unique - my favorite one so far was the Dragons Milk.
It's best to put in a reservation if you plan on eating there on the weekends because the place fills up. But even with a wait there's a new art gallery across the sreet that the hostess told us our pager would work inside of.
My only complaint about this place is that sometimes the sushi or the food can take a while to come out but when I know it's quality food - I can't really be upset or complain.
This is one of my top two favorite places to eat in the Dayton area - I'm probably there 2-3 times a week.
Oh - they have cheap (price wise) sushi combinations for lunch - which helps out financially since I'm still in school.
