    This is the BEST Italian restaurant in Dayton and surrounding areas. My husband and I frequented the restaurant often when we lived about 25 min. away. Now that we are an hour and a half away we miss it VERY much and go back everytime we are in the area. Prices are a little higher than a typical chainIt restaurant but the quality of food is AMAZING and well worth a couple extra dollars! It is the most authentic Italian experience you will find anywhere in Ohio:)

    My first trip to Mama DilSavo's was this past Saturday, May 23, 2009. I am 100% Italian, so I am often skeptical when someone wants to go to an Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely awesome! They were packed that night and even though we had a reservation for 7pm for a party of 15, we had to end up waiting for 30 minutes. The other large party wouldn't leave, so the manager put several tables together to accomodate us. Since we had to wait so long, they manager brought out several appetizers of meatballs and sausage in sauce, tons of bread to each of our tables. No charge! In addition to that, Mama DiSalvo brought out jars of sauce to take home....no charge to us! She gave away about 8 jars of sauce.....asked us if we needed anything else. Our waitress was very kind, very accomodating dealing with all of us. I have no complaints and would definitely go back to this restaurant whenever I am in Dayton. Those complaining below definitely don't appreciate authentic Italian food and probably think Olive Garden is authentic! YUCK!!!!!

    The prices are reasonable for as much food as you get!
