What Happened To Produce: I've been to both stores and they are great. Very friendly service, and enjoyable to shop at. Produce has recently taken a huge drop in quality and variety, they used to carry cut fruit with the label Garden Cut, it was awesome, and very fresh everytime I purchased it. The lady running the dept is not very friendly. Go to the other store where the young man in produce is very helpful, and is always friendly

Old-Fashioned Grocery Store: Small, close to home, friendly service, and reasonably priced food. Best meats in town, although the produce leaves a lot to be desired. Reminds me of the grocery stores at my grandma's house. Intimate. None of the impersonal rush and bustle of the big chain stores. Does carry alternative foods, and vegetarian processed food choices. They still deliver to the elderly families around our home. That is a service you just can't find anymore. I'd rather spend my money there, and know it is being kept local, than give it to a chain store that doesn't care if I come back or not. I can send my 12year old to the store to get a loaf of bread, and know he will be OK, and the cashiers know him and us. It is a real asset to our community.
