A great place for the kids to explore!!
The planetarium offers shows for all ages and the one we saw was fabulous for all!
So many great things for kids to see and do, my kids loved the kids town, from pretending to be a judge and jury to running and shopping in the kids grocery store, this place is tops! Don't miss the live animals. The science show's too. What a great way to have a fun and educational day with the kids.
Discovery for children at its best!: The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery is perfect for families of Pre- K /elementary school age children who are looking for a " hands on" museum and day of fun! Being a mother as well as a first grade teacher I was excited to find such a great day trip destination in which children can enjoy investigating, exploring and discovering two floors of interactive exhibits. There is something to appeal to everyone! Many of the exhibits provide activities to compliment the Ohio Dept of Educations Science Standards especially for 1st grade. The facility and grounds are kept very clean and parking is free. There is a designated area with vending machines to grab a quick snack or sit to eat a packed lunch. You may choose to dine at one of the many restaurants in the area or weather permitting, pack a picnic and eat at the picnic grounds near the entrance to Boonshoft. The staff is very helpful and personable. Check out the museum website or call ahead for information regarding hours of operation and current traveling exhibit info.
Boonshoft Museum: Took my family to see this museum, because so many people raved about it, but unfortunately I was not impressed! The big highlights in this museum was the big snake and the exhibit on the planets and our solar system. Unfortunately there was not enough information and it was way over priced. It's best for children who are under the age of 10 years.
