User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe food has went to hell over the last 10 years. The burger keeps getting thinner and thinner and the price keeps going higher and higher. If you liked the way the sumbuger used to be , take a drive to Laurelville and eat at the Village Cafe . While there order the village buger!!!! Trust me it is better than the sumburger is today and tastes just like the sumburger did back in the day. I love it!! best burger around!!

I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CHILLICOTHE, OHIO. MAIN ATTRACTION.... "SUMBURGER RESTAURANT". CARHOPS, PHONE AT THE TABLE, 50'S THEME, GREAT FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF. THE LADY IN THE KITCHEN THAT MAKES THE HAMBURGERS IS THE SAME LADY THAT STARTED WITH THE RESTAURANT BACK IN THE 50'S. WHEN I WAS LITTLE, THE SANDWICH WAS THE SIZE OF A LUNCHEON PLATE (ECONOMY YA KNOW). MY SISTER AND I SHARED ONE,(THEY COME ALREADY CUT IN HALF).DONT FORGET THE STRAWBERRY PIE. OH YEAH, A FEW YEARS AGO, THE CARHOPS WORE ROLLER SKATES....GREAT FAMILY PLACE.

Hi I'm moving to Chillicothe in 6 months, just waiting on school to dismiss, I'm coming up there Sunday and I will try a Sumburger and Fries and slaw, lol. My friend and I have 5 kids between us and are re-locating so we're doing it together until my husband gets out of CCI. my whole family is there now, brother, newphew, sister in law, husband, so we're coming too. Looks nice and the park is amazing. So excited in Ohio
Great little town, all my family still live there except me. The problem is there is really no work. That is why I moved to Omaha. When I do go back for a visit, I live at the Sumburger... aka (SUNBURGER) as we called it when I was little because the sandwiches were HUGE, ya know, like the size of the SUN. Make sure to try the Hammy Sammy sandwich too. I hope you enjoy the food as much as I do. Let me know what ya think..... Carla
