I visited the Wild Horse Cafe for my first time last week. I read the reviews on here & wasn't sure that we should try it. However, I asked a lady in my office & she had been there & my husband had a friend who had gone. They gave us good reviews. While the menu is somewhat limited (but plenty to choose from) the atmosphere couldn't have been better. I had shrimp & scallop stuff manicotti & my husband had NY strip. It was a Friday evening and we were in the bar section. The TV's were on but at a low level, therefore, everyone else eating didn't have to yell over others talking. So the evening was peaceful and the food was very, very good and I give the Wild Horse Cafe thumbs up!

My husband and I drove 75 miles because the TV ads looked interesting and the view of the Ohio River looked lovely. He found a large hair in the appetizers - and the manager was reluctant to even take half off the appetizer. Shame on her! The service was slow and the prices way too high for the quality of the food. We won't be going back or recommending to anyone else.

This place has a lot of potential, but the food they tried to serve me was just horrible and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired . The only reason i say they have potential is because they have a very good looking restaurant with a nice outdoor patio overlooking the river, but as soon as we walked through the door there was no employees to be seen , i think they were all in the back just hanging out. When we finally got seated they acted like it was just awful that i asked to be seated outside, just think of how i must have inconvenienced them. We took a look at the menu and it looks like they have a lot of good food. Well i ordered the New York steak sandwich and my girlfriend ordered the shrimp ravioli. The food didn't take long but a trained monkey could have picked out a better cut of meat. I don't know about you but i cant stand gristle and I'm not exaggerating even a little when i say half of the meat they put on my sandwich was nothing but fat. I had to pick off every bit of meat off of the sandwich and cut the fat off myself and that barely made the sandwich eatable. The main reason i ordered the sandwich is because the menu said it had provolone on it and i love the stuff. If my sandwich had any i couldn't find it, and to make things even worse the waitress served me Pepsi that was so watered down and flat it tasted like it had been siting outside for hours, and Im being generous. In my opinion this place isn't worth a 5 minute drive let alone the hour and a half we drove. I dont know if they just had an off day but im never going back and if you want to try it out i suggest you don't spend to much money because its way to expensive for the quality of food they serve.
oh and we took pictures of everything, if i think of it ill upload them the next chance i get.
