Having lived in the Lima Shawnee area for 20 years, it's been great to see a new business succeed in downtown Lima. Our out of town friends and family love going there - for the coffee drinks (yummy), the smoothies (awesome), and the always fresh food. We are hoping to see one in the Shawnee area, too. We give their gift cards and gift baskets - it's fun to support a locally owned and operated business.
great coffee - always freshly roasted with a variety of 5-6 different blends available each day
Stay Away: If you want to pay $20 for some 1/2 deli sandwhich of questionable origin then this is the place for you. The poor folks stuck working in downtown Lima eat here.. great view eh? Staring out gazing upon the dying concrete ghetto that is Market St. Maybe one day they'll build an outdoor pavilion to bring you even closer to the wonderful sounds and smells of downtown.

If you don't like the downtown, then stay away. The waitress probably enjoyed your $16 tip and half-eaten sandwich, so I'm glad you stopped by. I work downtown and The Meeting Place is the best place to get lunch.
Having lived outside of Lima on both coasts, I have to agree with "dtown Lima." The dying concrete ghetto that is Market St. supports a legion of professionals, many from urban metropolitan areas who came here for our hometown type of downtown, and it shows everywhere you look. Unless ,of course, your glasses are made of sour grapes. The Meeting Place rocks with good fresh food and coffees, a unique gift shop and local owners. It's a haven for college students and business people with its wi-fi, a nice conference room for bigger meetings, and a pretty good staff. I'll keep going.
