From day one I had extreme problems from this bank. The system does not communicate well, leaving your money trapped in their clutches while they try to sort out when you can have access to your money. Their strict funds availability policy leaves no room for understanding of any problems, nor fee waivers of any sort. They have, on numerous occasions, held deposits purposely to ensure the debits would post before the credit, leaving me hanging with hundreds of dollars in overdraft/non-sufficient funds fees throughout my experience with National City. The bank managers are specially trained to hoard the bank's value and ensure you are wrong each and every time you have a complaint. They will, on many occasions, repeat themselves to make you feel stupid, ignore the direct request at hand in order to gain capital, or even exacerbate the situation with rudeness. If you are charged an overdraft fee, that money is gone forever, no matter the circumstance. The managers will refuse a fee refund.

In brief, National City is not a bank to trust with your savings or everyday financial needs.

This is funny to hear people complain about fee refunds. Banks normally do not waive fees for stupidity. It's called a transaction register. Learn to use it. If there is a bank error, the fees are refunded. It's funny to read about comments that people make that the bank purposely holds the funds just so you will get overdraft fees. What a paranoid comment. The bank deals with millions of people a day and you think they single you out to hold your money? If you would just learn the policy, balance your checkbook, you would never overdraft!!!!
