To tell you the truth, I could eat here every day of the week (but I am only able to get there once or twice a month.) The atmoshere is wonderful, the service is fantastic and the prices are from the 90's....what a great combination! I don't know how they do it but I hope they never change.
Plus, check out their wall of fame...portraits, done by a local artist, Gene Scarbrough, range from Paulding's Founding Fathers all the up to the to Paulding's newest local heros. It is really something to see. Check it out.....you won't be disapponted.
And don't even get me started about the OSU memorabilia on the walls....Whoa!!....OSU fans will get a rush.
And check this out...when you leave they relly do say, "Y'all come back now." How cool is that?
They don't make em like this anymore: A recent visit to Paulding, Ohio brought me to Bubba J's Buckeye Cafe. I can certainly say that my first visit to this "mom and pop" restaurant won't be my last. The soup was very obviously homemade, the sandwiches we had were fresh and hot and the prices are very inexpensive for home cooked food. You can eat at McDonald's and get faster food, but the quality will suffer. Even a Michigan fan will find this place - which is more decked out in Buckeye memorobila than anyplace in Columbus except maybe the Varsity Club - great. Make no mistake though, this is a coffee shop/grill, not a five star restaurant. It's just a little slice of Americana well preserved and evolved. The food is great, the people are friendly and things here are just a little simpler - it's a nice trip back in time. Great job Bubba J!
