I chose cornerstone chiropractic and Roc Byrd because they were voted best chiropractor in Hendricks County for 2007. I found out later they really push voting for them down your throat via e-mail. The problem I have with this practice is their goal is to convince you that you need to come back every month for the rest of your life and get adjusted. This comes after about $2500 worth of adjustments and physical therapy in the first 3 months. They start with what they bill as a âback health classâ that everyone has to go to. This class really amounts to a hardcore sales pitch by their marketing director. The whole point of the class is to get you to believe you need to come back for the next 100 years and to get you to bring your friends and family members in for an evaluation, at a discounted rate of course, if they come in the next week. They will also try to sell you special pillows, vitamins, snake oils, and any other product they think will make them a buck.
Once I started feeling better, the Doc would still adjust me, which more often that not would cause new pain. Sometimes pain would develop in non-related areas shortly after my visits.
They also have fundraisers every other week where they only except cash or check. You never know when they are and they make you fell stupid if you need to pay by credit card because you donât have cash on you or you just simply need to use credit for your co-pay. I suggest you got to your primary care physician for advice before you go to a chiropractor.
Excellent service, friendly staff: I went to see Dr. Byrd because of some lower back problems. Dr. Byrd and his staff were very friendly and helpful. After just a few visits, I was doing much better.
AWESOME!: Dr Byrd is a true professional, who knows his business well. I recommend him to everyone. He is and always will be my only Chiro! Thanks Dr. B!

I had a totally different experience than Helpyhead. I found Doc Roc to be professional and a great doctor. My family doctor actually referred me to him after he was unable to help my back and neck pain. Dr. Byrd and his staff were awesome. It wasn't cheap but it was worth every penny. I agree that he suggested to continue care after the pain was gone, but that was his point. If someone waits until their teeth hurt before they get them cleaned it's too late. I still go for adjustments at least once a month and refer everyone I know in pain to Cornerstone so they can get the same results I did. To me, Helpy sounds like a sour puss that just likes to complain. He even complained that Doc has fundraisers frequently (once a month) for different charities. And he doesn't take credit cards for that care because he has us write the checks directly to the charity (Sheltering Wings, Children of Fallen Soldiers Fund, Life Centers, Project Angel, etc) so there's no doubt where that money is going. Helpyhead, do you complain when the Sun is too bright? Maybe the fact that you feel stupid is simply accurate. Doc also helped my mom, my uncle and my wife and all of them were not helped by either other chiropractors, physical therapists or regular doctors. And not once did he push anything. He also let us know about the best of hendricks contest and asked us to vote for his clinic only if we believed they deserved it. I challenge Helpy to find a more professional or ethical doctor than Dr. Byrd.
