User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsthe food at Barley Island is better than typical bar food the fish&chips and burgers are good. The microbrews are a quality product although often of limited availability. Unfortunetly no matter how good the beer and food are, they are overshadowed by the horrible service. The constant dissarray leaves you wondering if you'll ever see your order assuming someone ever comes by to take it. The very young wait staff seem much more concerned about gossiping with their highschoolish clique than serving the patrons.

Upon entering we were overcome with the smell of musty mildew. But because the building is old we let it slide. The food was below average. The restaurant seemed dirty. Service was poor, our server was more interested in conversation at the bar with her friends.We would never go back.
