User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsMy friend and I stopped by here about 7 p.m. on a Sunday evening after we had watched a movie. I would estimate that the place was only about 1/4 full. It took them about five minutes to first acknowledge that we were there and then after being seated, over ten minutes before we even saw a waitress. My friend and I were about to get up and leave when a neighboring waitress stopped us and took our orders. Once the food arrived, we sat for about two minutes before they even brought us utensils.
Initially, the food was really great. I had a smothered BBQ chicken with bacon, cheese, and onion rings. However, half way through the meal, it actually became slightly unpleasant. The food seemed to be overly flavored to the point that I couldn't even taste the chicken anymore.
Eventually, the woman who was supposed to be our waitress came over and non-chalantly apologized, saying that she was extremely busy. I shrugged it off because her being busy was counting her tips at the bar while drinking a Coke.
Maybe I just hit a bad night and my taste buds weren't acting right, but I doubt that I'll go back unless some of my friends want to eat there. Just unpleasant overall.-

Went to Smokey Bones on my 50th birthday. Had been there before and had great drinks, food and service. On that trip the drinks were watered down and of very poor quality. My wife and I ordered filets and they were the worst filets we have had in Geeenwood. That was after waiting almost 30 minutes for our food. They were small, chewy but flavored well. The waitress was slightly rude when she came around which wasn't very often even though there were only two other couples there. I will have to decide if we will try them again in the future
