My husband and I have eaten at the Indianapolis Bynum's in the past and loved it. Last night we tried the Martinsville Bynum's and were very disappointed. The service was slow and very unprofessional. The waitress actually sat down at our table while taking our order. The salad consisted of lettuce and a few carrot shavings. My husbands T-bone (cooked medium) was dry and grainy. For dessert I had cheese cake. Big mistake. It was over cooked and dry. Put me in mind of eating a block of cheddar cheese. It was an experience I don't ever want to have again. The only thing good was the baked potato.
For far less money you can have a steak as good as Indy's "name brand" steakhouses. I get a nice drive in the country down IN-39 from Danville and I know a New York strip cooked exactly as I want it will be waiting for me. Love the rustic atmosphere and the antique marine museum in the rear is a favorite with my grandson.
Pretty good place to grab a nice steak. I know that I'll be back soon.
