User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI took my two teenagers to the Hard Rock Cafe here in Indy to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and must say it was all we hoped for ... and more!
The decor was just what you would expect ... lots of guitars and various other rock star memorabilia. Plenty to keep each of us occupied before, during and after a marvelous meal. We were encouraged to browse the displays ad lib ... and did so, taking care not to disturb other patrons.
The food was outstanding! I had the haystack chicken salad (for $10), and the portion was HUGE! Beginning with a base of ranch dressing coated lettuce; there were diced tomatoes, corn, grated cheese & pico de gallo. Next came bite sized pieces of Tupelo fried
chicken as well as spiced pecans & crisp tortilla straws. It was a veritable taste sensation as the flavors melded.
One teen had the S.O.B. Burger (minus the guacamole) ... a 10 ounce patty, basted with spicy Chipotle Pepper puree; topped with Jack cheese & grilled onions then served on a buttery, toasted bun. The other had the Honey-mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich (a grilled boneless chicken breast served on abutter toasted bun with honey-mustard, bacon,
lettuce, tomato and Jack cheese ... and served with
seasoned fries and fresh coleslaw).
They provided my daughter with a free birthday sundae (adults get a free shot of liquor I believe) nad had everyone in the house shout out Happy Birthday to her.
The host and our waitress were pleasant & friendly, each with outgoing personalities and a distinct awareness of the excellent customer service patrons of such an establishment expect.
Prices were moderate, though not unreasonable. Our party of three shared a single appetizer, had delicious entrees, unlimited soft drink refills & came away with a souvenier Hurricane glass for the birthday girl ... all for just over $62.
Would I go again? In a heartbeat!
