It's A Fun Little Place: The Metro was one of the first bars that I visited in Indy. It's a cool little setup, the moment you get in there you have the bar (convenient), as you keep walking, you find the dining area to your left. I've eaten there once or twice and the food's alright. The upstairs has my favorite: billiard pool tables (and another bar), as well as dart boards. As I understand it, the upstairs used to be a dance floor and so I guess that's why they pump good music into that area still. It's worth checking out.
Good, Better, Close to Best.: Price is an issue for me here. I can go to places that are just down the street, pay a little less, or same price, for a little better quality of items. Not saying the food isn't great, it is, but, the price is a bit steep. Drink specials make this my favorite spot to meet a friend, atmosphere, including the patio outback, and service of the friendly staff, make this a decent date spot. My overall rating woul dbe higher, if they didn't have loud music busting out your eardrum's every single minute of them being open. Can't we have one nice bar, and not consider it a nightclub, just to try to compete? Tuesday's and Thursday's are the excpetion. AWESOME kareoke, even better drink specials. Impressive enough overall to make this one of, not the, but one of the best glbt bars in Indy.
