    The State Fair: The state fair is the only place to be in August! It offers a full day's worth of senses activated by all the sights and sounds, aromas, exictements! Unmatched by any other venue in the state all year long! Every year I can't even imagine that there are people that still do not attend the state fair. The idea that kids are growing up lacking the joys, adventures, excitements and long time good memories of the yearly trips to the state fair, is beyond me! Why would a parent not want to expose their children to something so GREAT! It's not all about the carnival rides either. Walk around and you will be amazed at all of the fantastic things going on each and every day of the State Fair.
