The Vollrath...
is unpretentious;
has really genuine and friendly staff who you can easily get to know;
has an entertainment option to suit almost anyone - TVs, bands, etc... (pay attention to the event schedules);
is affordable; and
is a true neighborhood bar in a city sorely lacking them.
