We LOVE Mama Corrolla's. I lived around the corner from it for 2 years and never discovered how wonderful the food and atmosphere was until I had moved away. Reasonably priced, excellent selections and Great Atmosphere, ESPECIALLY in the summer time!!
A Gem: Great ambience from the big fireplace, all the candles and old world feel, to the heated patio seating. Been once and had the manicotti, it was good.
Chick place: Mama's is "visually warm"; I think it's designed to appeal primarily to women in this respect. The building is quaint, warm colors, etc. The food is about what you'd expect at the 12-20 price range. Sauce is good. They are very stingy with the bread, butter, and parmesan cheese. Parm wasn't on the table, nor offered. When the place is busy it is very difficult to get your server's attention. Like impossible. You *will* have your water refilled 4000 times though, a silly counterpoint in over-service, compared to the waiter's absence. If they hired people who spoke English to fill the water, they could have those people help out in other ways.
I'd hate to be in there if there's a fire, the tables are close together and there's a slight maze quality to the layout.
I would go back. Given the food here, one wonders what niche the Olive Garden thinks it is in. The OG's food is so bland and pointless, though you can get your server's attention there.
