This is the worst place to go to see a movie. unsupervised minors make noise through the entire show, people talk non stop, i walked out in the middle of the movie and told them to keep my money and buy some oil for the door and seats so you here more than the seats squeaking and the door from people walking in and out non stop
I've been to the Crown Theater a few times I really like the old theater feel and price. I hope they keep it around for a long time. I don't live in Crown point so I usually call to hear what there playing and it either sounds staticky (if thats a word) or busy. I hope they fix that soon.
For those of us from Chicago's south side, who fondly recall experiences of going to the movies at the Colony, Brighton Park, People's, or the Marquette, the Crown will bring back many of those nostalgic moments. It's an old theater with very few staff, and a ticket price ($3.00) to match. Drinks and other refreshments are VERY reasonably priced. The movies are either first-run or close to it. It's a great experience to relive! Parking is limited, and the various lots around Crown Point seem to be safe, if not overcrowded. Some street parking is available. The only negative besides parking is the women's bathroom, which is up about 14 stairs. Well worth a visit!
