Cafe Paradiso was a great restaurant and I miss it alot, no Italian food was quite as good as this place; in Valpo...But you know what? The same owners that ran this great restaurant now run Zaza Restaurant in the east side of town...And if you really want a truly Italian experience go check them out you won't be dissapointed.....Tell them Valpojoe send you....
Best Italian in Valpo: This is the best place to eat in Valparaiso bar none. The prices are affordable, and the cook is a native Italian who knows what he is doing. The wait staff is young so ask for things if you need them. The owners are very nice, and the house wine is ok, but it is cheap and goes well with the food. I liked the do your own pasta, and the Lemon Chicken is the best I have had anyplace - Italy, New York, New Jersey, or Chicago. The tops!
great place get in there!: went twice now last month to paradiso,,,,, food great and servers real friendly and accomidating,,,,,,owner Fonnie will sit and have a chat with you over some wine, only if you like. They have a loyal following and its due to the real friendliness of the owners and staff,,,,,, it really reminds me of a european bistro run by a family, if you choose you can be treated to a family conversation,,,, and its real..OR if ya like they just say hello and serve the meal without bothering you....occasionaly a live piano is going,,,,, a accomplished musician plays jazz or classical or both..... no slouch,, top quality interpretations of chopin or frank sinatra!!! what a mix!!! get over there its across from the courthouse,,,,,,,i dnt drink but people tell me wine is superb.. i know the food is.
