The best pizza ever and we know our pizza!!!
******
nice place to go, enjoyed the atmosphere and will go again soon
Arrenello's is one of those places you have to try once to see if you like it or loathe it. My parents say this is one of the only pizza places they'll pass up. Me, I think it's the greatest stuffed pizza on the planet. The secret is entirely in the super sweet sauce. Normally I don't like such a thing, but it works perfectly with this pizza, especially if you get it with their flavorful italian sausage and green peppers. Sweet goes perfectly with those toppings.
I'm giving this place 5 stars because they outshine everyone else in pizza quality, which is hard to do. But I have to say, dealing with these peopple is sometimes like pulling teeth. First, they frequently issue coupons with small deals ($2 off or less). Once they had a coupon with a value of roughly $3, and they had signs everywhere saying it was a typo and they would not honor it. $3 is too much for a coupon? Aurelio's regularly gives $3-$4 off, and they seem to be doing just fine.
Even their "no cell phone" sign is snippy and rude. I understand it's annoying to deal with someone on a cell phone, but it's a pickup pizza place. A "Please refrain from using cell phones!" sign would be sufficient. Instead, it's a smug "We will not wait on you if you are on your phone." Yeah, because it's so hard to say "Pickup for Smith!" while you're talking to someone else. Give me a break.
Also, the kitchen is frequently full of loud teenagers who don't seem to be very professional or very clean. One of the guys making a pizza had such an enormous, hanging, bushy beard that I thought it might be a health violation.
Okay, maybe I'm just splitting hairs here. It probably stems from the one time that Arrenello's messed up our order badly and gave us the wrong pizza with the wrong toppings. We called and asked for our pizza, but they said they couldn't take it back, so they'd just give us a free pizza for our next order. They took down our name and everything, but naturally when we called two weeks later they had no recollection of our issue. They even said "We'd never give a free pizza." Even when they mess up an order! They offered us $5 off after a five minute discussion with the manager. We hung up.
Naturally, I came crawling back after about a year. It's like these people know they have the best pizza, so they don't care about customer service one bit. You win this round, Arrenello's.
