Ridgelawn-Mount Mercy Cemetery

The employees at this cemetary are very rude. I called to let them know that my husband's marker was incorrect. I was immediately verbally attacked and told that I would have to pay for the mistake! (The marker read US Army not US Air Force) The employee said I signed papers stating eveything was correct so the cost for replacing the marker would have to be paid for by me. I gave the cemetary his discharge papers and almost $600.00 before they would even order his marker. His discharge papers cleary state that he was in the US Air Force. I called the veterans and ordered the new maker myself! I was told by the veterans that I would not be charged for the cemetary's mistake.
I took a shepherds hook with a baseket of flowers to the grave site. In one week it was stolen or removed by the cemetary!
I wanted to put flowers on my sister's grave. but it was covered by at least one foot of water.
I placed sod on my husbands grave as the cemetary had nothing there but weeds. I went out to water the sod but NO water came out of the spigot.
I placed some small flowers by my husband's grave and a very small 12 inch dwarf evergreen. In 3 days the cemetary removed it stating I could not plant it there because I had a marker and not a monument!
I have an extra plot next to my husband's and I called the cemetary to see if I could sell it. I was told I could only sell it to a veteran and the price would have to be less than $175.00 because that is what they charge for a one time fee to take care of the plot! They do charge $770.00 for a plot for a family member of a veteran to be buried there but I cannot sell to anyone other than a vet for under $175.00? I cannot understand their reasoning since this plot was not free it was purchased by my parents many years ago.
I am thankful to my parents for giving me two plots for my husband and myself. However...I am so sad that Ridgelawn Cemetary is such an uncaring and awful place.
I cannot believe I have had so many problems with this cemetary. My husband was buried there only 6 months ago.
