User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsI went to this restaurant some time ago. I was a walk in and looking for a table for one. I was treated like a non-person. I complained by email to the management about my treatment and they basically said it was my fault I was treated that way. They said that they are more on the level of an up-scale Chicago restaurant and I was expecting them to make the same accommodations as a chain restaurant.
I am on the road 50 weeks a year. I eat out at least 4 nights a week. I have never been treated so poorly in 15 years. And I am going out to dinner in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York several times a year and rarely eat at chains.

One of the best places I have eaten as far as fancy resturants go...I loved the filet mignon, and the service is unbelievable...they really make you feel special. The first time I went there, my boyfriend ( a McD's kinda guy) was not even made to feel bad or unwelcome, even though he knew nothing about wine, or any of that stuff. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. The bathrooms are pretty great, too. The disposable paper towels feel like real cotton napkins...lol.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsComfort and Cuisine: The LaSalle Grill is the spot for fine dining in South Bend IN. It's centrally located in the heart of the city and close to most of the major "Hot Spots". The wait staff is professional yet friendly. When you walk thru the doors Andrew makes you feel like a guest in his home. Although not cheap, I still find the LaSalle Grill to be a great value, and a wonderful dining experience.
