My dad introduced me to Power Hamburger as a kid growing up in Ft. Wayne. He ate their when he was younger. We love their burgers. They are small, greasy, great burgers! and I love the grilled onions. Ever since I can remember the staff has been friendly to talk to and fun to watch them make those burgers. Now when I visit from Arizona we make a stop to Power hamburgers and Coney Island hotdogs for those old memories were fond of. My kids now enjoy them too. :) I wish I could open these two places up in Arizona. Try them they are better than white castle.
Powers, the best burgers in town: Powers burgers are compared to white castle alot, it's a bad comparison. Powers are cooked right before your eyes, not microwaved. Powers is run by real ppl, w/ real personalities, not some teen burger microwaver. The burgers are greasy, depending on the time, the service is slow, but it's open when the bar lets out, and the pie is to die for. The breakfast is a must, and you can't go to Powers w/ out getting a burger. So if you love your country, you'll eat at powers...
Better than White Castle by far: The restaurant's concept is similar to White Castle, but where WC uses frozen burgers, Power's makes their own right in front of you. It's greasy. It smells, but nothing beats a Power's Hamburger. The diner is also has a retro feel to it, but that's only because it was built decades ago.
